How to bring your Jotform forms across

A native Jotform importer is coming soon. Until then, the quickest route is our generic CSV template — a simple spreadsheet of your fields and options that imports straight into a draft.

  1. Create a free Surveyz account (or sign in) and open the import wizard from your dashboard.
  2. Choose the CSV/XLSX source and download the import template — the same template the wizard provides, with a column for each part of a question.
  3. Open your Jotform and copy your fields and answer options into the template. Map each Jotform field to the closest Surveyz question type (we'll confirm the mapping at review).
  4. Upload the completed CSV/XLSX, review the mapping, and create your draft. For petitions, consent or attendance forms, pick the matching e-signature form type.

Straight talk: there's no one-click Jotform importer yet, so the CSV route involves a little copy-and-paste today. Importing is free on every plan. Your historical Jotform submissions and any captured signatures stay with Jotform — signatures are legally bound to where they were signed. E-signature form types need a Surveyz plan that includes e-signature forms.

Is there a one-click Jotform importer?

Not yet — it's coming soon. For now you recreate your form using our generic CSV/XLSX template, which the import wizard provides.

Can I import Jotform forms with e-signatures?

You can recreate the form as a Surveyz e-signature form (petition, consent or attendance register), but existing signed submissions stay with Jotform — a captured signature is legally tied to the document and platform it was signed on. New signatures collected in Surveyz get drawn-signature capture with SHA-256 tamper-evidence.

Is this POPIA compliant?

Yes. Surveyz is hosted in South Africa and built with POPIA in mind. See our POPIA Compliance page.

Does importing cost anything?

No. Import is free on every plan. E-signature form types require a plan that includes e-signature forms.
