Moving from another survey tool shouldn't mean starting from scratch. Import your existing surveys and e-signature forms, keep your POPIA compliance, and run everything from one South African platform — with your data always yours to export.
Our import wizard turns an export from your current tool into a ready-to-edit draft survey in four steps. No spreadsheets to wrangle by hand, no developers required.
Download your survey from your existing platform — a CSV/XLSX of questions, a Typeform JSON export, or a Qualtrics .qsf file.
Drop the file into the import wizard. We auto-detect the format and parse your questions, options and structure.
Check how each question and answer mapped across. Tweak question types, wording and themes before anything is created.
A new draft survey lands in your dashboard. Finish it your way, then publish, share a link or collect responses.
We're honest about migration. Your survey structure comes with you. Historical responses and signatures stay with the original tool — they're legally bound to where they were collected.
Pick where you're coming from for a step-by-step guide tailored to that platform — including exactly which export to download and how it lands in Surveyz.
.qsf export — no manual re-keying of questions.

Yes. Surveyz is built in South Africa and hosted in Microsoft Azure South Africa North (Johannesburg). When you import a survey you bring across its structure — questions and options, not respondents' personal information. Any personal data you later collect through Surveyz is processed under our POPIA Compliance commitments and Privacy Policy.
Your survey or form's questions, answer options, question types and ordering. Historical responses and any captured signatures stay with the original tool — they're legally bound to where they were collected. You finish and re-brand the imported draft in the Surveyz editor before publishing.
For Typeform and Qualtrics, a direct file import usually takes a couple of minutes — upload, review the mapping, and a draft is created. For tools that use the generic CSV route, allow a little longer to fill in the template, but most surveys are ready to publish the same day.
No. Importing surveys is free on every plan, including the free tier. You only pay for the plan features you choose to use after you've moved across — and e-signature form types need a plan that includes e-signature forms.
Today, Typeform (JSON export) and Qualtrics (.qsf export) import directly. For SurveyMonkey, Jotform and Google Forms, native importers are coming soon — in the meantime you can move across quickly using our generic CSV/XLSX template, which the import wizard provides.
Always. Export responses as CSV or XLSX at any time, or to SPSS (.sav) for academic analysis. There's no lock-in and no exit fee.
Create your free Surveyz account, then open the import wizard and bring your first survey across. It takes minutes.
